After painting for years with oils and acrylics, this was my second painting using watercolors. The mediums are surprisingly different, and it took me several paintings to begin to understand the differences. Here I was trying to paint light colors over dark... Doesn't work that way! This was an abstract painting of a mountain range and a waterfall.
